One integration to set up. That's it. Follow the steps below and you'll be sending AI-powered outreach to matched candidates today.

The only account you need

Everything else — AI analysis, candidate matching, compensation data, screening, the ATS — runs natively on Blue Line. Lemlist is only needed for automated outreach.

Lemlist Setup

Automated email & LinkedIn outreach for your candidates

Create your Lemlist account

Go to lemlist.com and click "Start free trial" (14-day free trial, no credit card needed). Sign up with your work email — use the same email you used for Blue Line so everything stays organized. Pick a password and confirm your email.

Tip: Lemlist's free trial gives you full access to test outreach before paying. Their Starter plan ($39/mo) is enough for most users.

Complete Lemlist onboarding

Lemlist will walk you through a quick setup wizard. When it asks what you're using Lemlist for, select "Sales Outreach" or "Recruiting." When it asks about your team size, select "Just me" or your actual team size. Skip any steps you're unsure about — you can configure them later.

Tip: Don't overthink the onboarding. The only thing that matters for Blue Line integration is getting your API key.

Find your API key

Once you're in the Lemlist dashboard: 1. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner 2. Click "Settings" 3. In the left sidebar, click "Integrations" 4. Scroll down to find the "API" section 5. You'll see your API key — it looks like a long string of letters and numbers 6. Click the copy button next to it

Tip: If you don't see an "API" section under Integrations, try going directly to: app.lemlist.com/settings/integrations. Your API key may also be under "Settings" → "API & Webhooks."

Connect Lemlist to Blue Line

Now head back to Blue Line: 1. Go to your Dashboard 2. Click "Settings" in the left sidebar 3. Find the "Lemlist Integration" section 4. Paste your API key into the field 5. Click "Connect" 6. You should see a green "Connected" badge appear

Tip: If you get an error, double-check that you copied the full API key with no extra spaces. If it still doesn't work, try generating a new API key in Lemlist.

Set up your sending email in Lemlist

For outreach emails to actually send, you need to connect your email account in Lemlist: 1. In Lemlist, go to "Settings" → "Email providers" 2. Click "Add new email provider" 3. Choose your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, or custom SMTP) 4. Follow the prompts to connect your email 5. Lemlist will send a test email to verify the connection This is the email address your outreach messages will come FROM when Blue Line sends campaigns through Lemlist.

Tip: Use a professional email (you@yourcompany.com), not a personal Gmail. Candidates take outreach more seriously when it comes from a real business domain.

Set up your LinkedIn connection (optional)

If you want Blue Line to send LinkedIn outreach through Lemlist: 1. In Lemlist, go to "Settings" → "LinkedIn" 2. Install the Lemlist Chrome extension when prompted 3. Log into your LinkedIn account through the extension 4. Lemlist will sync with your LinkedIn profile This lets Blue Line send LinkedIn connection requests and messages to candidates on your behalf.

Tip: LinkedIn outreach has 3-5x higher response rates than email. It's worth the extra 2 minutes to set this up.

You're done — test it

Go to any job in Blue Line, match some candidates, select one or more, and click "Email Outreach" or "LinkedIn Outreach." Blue Line will create a personalized campaign in Lemlist and send the messages automatically. You can monitor replies and engagement in both Blue Line (on the Outreach tab) and in your Lemlist dashboard.

Tip: Start with a small test — select 2-3 candidates and send email outreach first. Check that the emails land in their inbox (not spam) before scaling up.
