Role Summary

You'll own core security operations responsibilities, from endpoint defense to incident response. As a Security Specialist in Hyderabad, you'll work across multiple security domains-managing EDR tools, firewall policies, vulnerability assessments, and identity controls. You'll be the technical backbone that keeps our clients' security posture strong and their teams informed.

Key Responsibilities

• You'll administer, tune, and optimize EDR platforms like CrowdStrike Falcon to detect and respond to threats across endpoints.
• You'll configure, review, and maintain firewall and VPN security policies on Fortinet FortiGate systems to control network access.
• You'll conduct security alert triage, investigate incidents, and lead response efforts to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
• You'll perform vulnerability assessments, track remediation efforts, and coordinate with teams to close security gaps.
• You'll support identity and access controls, including user access reviews and privileged access management across Microsoft Entra ID and related platforms.
• You'll create and maintain security documentation, operational runbooks, and playbooks that enable your team to operate consistently.
• You'll collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to design and implement security controls that reduce organizational risk.
• You'll stay current with security threats and tools, and recommend improvements to detection and response capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, cybersecurity, or security engineering.
• Demonstrated experience administering and optimizing EDR tools, specifically CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining firewall and VPN security policies on Fortinet FortiGate.
• Practical experience with security alert triage, incident investigation, and incident response procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document security processes clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure security tools.
• Experience in regulated environments or managing security across multiple sites.
• Background protecting sensitive or patient data under frameworks like HIPAA or PIPEDA.
• Current or previous certifications such as CrowdStrike CCFA/CCFR, Fortinet NSE 4/FCP, Microsoft SC-200/AZ-500, CompTIA Security+/CySA+, or GIAC GSEC/GCIH.
