About This Role
Senior .NET Engineer
We're seeking an experienced Senior .NET Engineer to help maintain and modernize enterprise insurance applications for a global insurance group. This is a flexible, remote role where you'll work with legacy systems, improve code quality, and guide a distributed team. If you enjoy solving complex technical problems and making systems more reliable, this is for you.
What You'll Do
- Review and improve existing .NET and legacy applications for performance and stability.
- Analyze code quality, architecture, and technical debt to find practical improvements.
- Identify bugs and performance issues, then implement fixes without disrupting operations.
- Provide feedback on pull requests and help other developers grow their skills.
- Support modernization efforts and code migration projects where appropriate.
- Write and maintain automated tests to catch issues early.
- Work with teams to investigate and resolve technical problems quickly.
- Document your findings and share recommendations with stakeholders.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience reading, debugging, and improving existing codebases.
- Comfortable working independently in remote, global teams.
- Ability to assess technical challenges and recommend practical solutions.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with web applications, APIs, and system integration.
- Familiarity with modern development practices, testing frameworks, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience mentoring or guiding other developers.
