About This Role

A leading European technology consultancy is hiring Senior Backend Engineers to build enterprise software and digital transformation solutions for international clients. You will architect and develop backend systems, mentor teammates, and shape technical decisions on real-world projects. This role offers relocation support and the opportunity to work across distributed teams in a collaborative, project-based environment.

What You'll Do

• Design and build backend applications in C# and modern .NET frameworks.
• Create and maintain REST APIs (Representational State Transfer) and service-oriented architectures.
• Architect scalable, reliable backend systems for enterprise environments.
• Write optimized SQL queries, indexes, and database schemas using SQL Server.
• Contribute to system design and software architecture decisions as a senior engineer.
• Build automated tests (unit, integration, and API tests).
• Troubleshoot performance and production issues in real time.
• Deploy applications to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work with containers (Docker) and cloud-native technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and establish team engineering standards.
• Integrate backend systems with third-party and legacy enterprise platforms.
• Communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with C# and modern .NET / .NET Core frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and database design.
• Hands-on experience designing and building REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Comfort working in international, distributed team environments.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core.
• ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, or Web API.
• Microservices architecture and event-driven design.
• Message brokers like RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
• Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Caching systems (Redis) and high-availability systems.
• Legacy .NET Framework modernization and migration.
• Frontend technologies: React, Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
