About This Role
You'll lead accounting operations and support HR administration for a stable, growing manufacturing company. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll own the full accounting cycle, manage financial reporting, and partner directly with executive leadership. What You'll Do
- Manage the complete accounting cycle, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting with accuracy and internal controls.
- Use your ERP system expertise to manage financial and operational data across the full quote-to-cash process.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning with clear financial insights for leadership.
- Maintain accounting compliance, including sales tax, 1099 reporting, payroll reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle HR administration: employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits, PTO tracking, and employee records.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Partner with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to solve problems and support company growth.
What You'll Need
- 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions, Epicor, SAP, or similar platforms).
- Solid understanding of month-end close, financial statements, accounts payable and receivable, and inventory accounting.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control best practices.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or B2B environments.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly with all levels.
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent professional experience).
- Prior experience as Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Assistant Controller.
- Familiarity with Paycor (HRIS - Human Resources Information System) or similar HR platforms.
- Experience collaborating with external CPAs on audit and tax preparation.
