Role Summary
You'll operate a Class B commercial rolloff truck, managing pickups and deliveries across our service area. You own the relationship with our customers, the safety of your vehicle, and the efficiency of each route. This is hands-on work where your decisions directly impact our reputation and our bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
- You'll operate a Class B CDL rolloff truck safely and professionally, following all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- You'll navigate Independence and surrounding areas efficiently, using local knowledge to optimize routes and arrive on time.
- You'll perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks before and after each shift, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- You'll interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries, answering questions and representing our company well.
- You'll maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and customer documentation throughout each workday.
- You'll load and unload materials as needed, following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
- You'll communicate with dispatch about route changes, delays, or customer issues in real time.
- You'll maintain a clean truck interior and exterior as part of your daily routine.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (rolloff, dump truck, or similar heavy vehicle operation preferred).
- Ability to work 52-60 hours per week, including early mornings and occasional weekend shifts.
- Knowledge of Independence, OH and surrounding areas, or willingness to develop local route familiarity quickly.
- Valid DOT medical certificate or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating rolloff or dumpster trucks in a commercial or waste services environment.
- Familiarity with dispatch systems and GPS navigation software.
- Forklift or heavy equipment operation certification.
