Regional Sales Manager — Jansan
About This Role
Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Territory
Outside Sales | Full-Time | Multi-State Territory | 50-70% Travel
About This Opportunity
A leading sales firm specializes in specialty chemical distribution serving small to mid-sized businesses ($1M-$50M revenue) across institutional cleaning, industrial products, pigments, and graphic arts. For over 50 years, the organization has built customer loyalty through quality, service, and technical expertise. Operations run with clarity and accountability - not micromanagement - using the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework.
The Opportunity
You'll own a multi-state Southeast territory, building distributor partnerships and landing new end-customer accounts. This is a hunter role: you set your weekly plan, manage your pipeline, and execute with minimal daily direction. If you're self-directed, driven by results, and thrive on the road, this is your seat.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a territory business plan targeting high-value accounts and driving new business wins.
- Prospect and build distributor and end-customer relationships across institutional cleaning markets.
- Manage your sales pipeline in Salesforce (CRM); track activity, follow-ups, and close rates weekly.
- Grow revenue in established accounts through regular visits, problem-solving, and consultative selling.
- Train distributor sales reps on products, applications, and selling techniques.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to expand product reach within existing accounts.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, events, and customer sites to build brand presence.
- Submit weekly activity reports and provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and gaps.
- Meet quarterly one-on-one coaching sessions; adjust territory strategy based on performance data.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of field-based B2B outside sales with demonstrated ability to grow territory revenue independently.
- Experience selling through distribution channels (distributor + end-customer model) or in JanSan, specialty chemicals, or industrial products.
- Consultative selling skills: ability to identify customer needs, position solutions, and close new business.
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce or similar) for pipeline management and forecasting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging decision-makers at all levels.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel 50-70% overnight across territory.
- High autonomy and self-discipline managing multiple accounts without daily oversight.
Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent sales experience).
- Prior success meeting or exceeding territory revenue targets.
- Track record in JanSan distribution or specialty chemical sales.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission - your earnings grow with your results.
- Territory ownership and direct impact; you're recognized for what you deliver.
- Hands-on coaching from an experienced sales leadership team.
- Clear expectations, quarterly one-on-one meetings, and support to succeed.
- Access to deep product technical expertise and strong customer loyalty in our markets.
- EOS-based culture: structure, clarity, accountability - no micromanagement.
