Role Summary

As a Sales Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our sales operation, keeping deals moving and teams organized. You'll own lead management, CRM administration, and sales coordination, the essential functions that allow senior sales reps to focus on closing business. If you're detail-oriented, love working with systems, and want to develop your sales skills from the ground up, this role is your entry point into a dynamic sales career.

Key Responsibilities

  • You'll manage our CRM system (Salesforce or HubSpot) by entering lead data, logging activities, and keeping records current so the sales team always has accurate information.
  • You'll qualify inbound inquiries and leads through phone or email, asking smart questions to assess fit before routing prospects to the right sales representative.
  • You'll coordinate meetings, product demos, and follow-ups by scheduling calendars, sending confirmations, and ensuring both parties are prepared.
  • You'll assist with creating sales proposals, presentations, and contract documentation by compiling information, formatting materials, and proofreading for accuracy.
  • You'll generate leads through research and outreach, identifying potential prospects and building initial contact lists for the sales team to pursue.
  • You'll track sales metrics and create weekly and monthly performance reports, giving leadership visibility into pipeline health and team results.
  • You'll partner with our marketing team to review lead quality, provide feedback on campaigns, and coordinate follow-up timing for better conversion rates.
  • You'll handle administrative tasks including scheduling, email management, document organization, and general office support to keep operations smooth.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales support, administrative, customer service, or similar customer-facing role.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent systems).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can explain things clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to stay organized while juggling multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with a sales team or in a sales operations role.
  • Familiarity with sales pipeline management or experience with lead qualification processes.
  • Previous exposure to proposal writing or contract management.
