The Role
You will develop embedded firmware for products used in IoT, medical devices, consumer electronics, and advanced manufacturing. What You'll Do
- Write and test embedded firmware for multiple product types.
- Debug hardware and firmware interactions in real time.
- Implement and optimize communication protocols including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and USB.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept through product launch.
- Contribute to 2-3 projects simultaneously with shifting priorities.
- Review schematics and identify hardware design issues early.
What You'll Need
- 10+ years developing embedded firmware for connected or IoT devices.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems development.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of these: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or USB.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot hardware-firmware problems.
- Experience taking products from prototype through manufacturing.
- Comfort working across multiple industries and product types.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Zephyr RTOS or other real-time operating systems.
- Background in medical device, consumer electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
- Prior work at a product design consultancy or innovation firm.
What We Offer
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
- Paid time off and flexible scheduling.
- Professional development budget for certifications and conferences.
- Exposure to multiple industries and cutting-edge technologies.
- Work on products that ship to real customers, not prototypes.
- State-of-the-art facilities and collaborative engineering environment.
- Competitive bonus structure based on project outcomes.
