Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant | Cleveland, OH

You'll own core financial processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness in our accounting operations. This role offers clear growth opportunities in a collaborative team that values your expertise and invests in your development.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes from start to finish.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data and present insights to leadership.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and responses.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

What You'll Need

• 5 or more years of accounting experience in a professional setting.
• Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Background in public accounting.
• Exposure to financial planning and analysis (FP&A) work.
• Experience mentoring junior accounting staff.
