Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Small Craft Operator XF-5786-10 with the USACE Galveston District, Engineering and Construction Division, Hydro Survey Section located in Galveston, TX. *Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE Offered*Duties
- Perform repairs to government-owned small vessels.
- Make independent judgments and decisions within the framework of oral or written instructions.
- Use skills needed to operate vessels in swift or shallow water and under difficult weather conditions.
- Operate government-owned vehicles to tow vessels over public roadways.
- Follow safety rules and supervisor’s instructions on work sequence, procedures, method and deadlines to be met.
