Summary
This is an excepted service appointment under the Pathways Recent Graduates Program. This appointment is a one year career development program. At the successful completion of the program requirements, you may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a Federal career or career-conditional appointment. - If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for planning, developing, providing, controlling, and evaluating the Department of Justice program for continuing legal training and education for both attorneys and support staff in the United States Attorney's Offices (USAOs), Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys and the Office of the U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA), and other components of the Department of Justice. Typical work assignments will include: Advising management on the proper and effective utilization of all financial resources. Cross-checking the accuracy and consistency of budget and program data in related budgetary plans, schedules, and reports. Ensuring transactions are recorded timely, accurately, and completely in the financial management system. Comparing figures in current estimates of funding needs by budget category or object class with prior year expenditures and brings significant variations to the attention of the supervisor.
