SECURITY SPECIALIST

Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

• You will provide security support across various functional areas, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and assets.
• You will apply security policies and procedures to maintain a secure operational environment.
• You will respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• You will conduct self-inspections of secure facilities, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks.
• You will provide training and guidance to personnel on security policies and best practices.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For DA-04: Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Possession of an LL.M., if related OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience For DA-03: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled. https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/unique-hiring-paths/students/federal-occupations-by-college-major/ OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
