Summary
The Training Specialist (Enterprise Application) position in the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Office of the Deputy Director, Case Management Modernization Program Office (CMM). CMM drives change management and adoption practices to achieve delivery of a modernized, efficient, and secure case management environment. CMM is responsible for delivering training and change management support for case management applications deployed to judiciary employees.Duties
- The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Office of the Deputy Director, Case Management Modernization Program Office is seeking an experienced Training Specialist (Enterprise Application) to join its team. This position reports to the Deputy Operations Officer. The Training Specialist (Enterprise Application) serves as a subject-matter expert in the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for one or more enterprise-level software applications used across the federal judiciary. The incumbent works within a collaborative team environment and partners closely with application program managers, system developers, court unit executives, and end-users nationwide to ensure training solutions are practical, accessible, and aligned with organizational objectives. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Conducting needs assessments and task analyses to identify training gaps for enterprise application end-users. Designing and developing instructional materials, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training guides, quick reference cards, job aids, video tutorials, and web-based training courses using authoring tools. Leveraging digital adoption platform software such as WalkMe, Whatfix to embed training guidance within the new application. Applying established instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging, accessible, and effective learning experiences aligned with adult learning principles. Ensuring training materials conform with Section 508 accessibility standards and AO style guidelines. Developing processes for knowledge management to ensure articles are added to the database for end users and support staff. Delivering live, virtual, and blended training sessions to diverse audiences, including court clerks, IT staff, judges' chambers employees, and AO personnel nationwide. Coordinating logistics for training events, including scheduling, participant communications, virtual platform setup (e.g., Zoom, Teams), and post-session follow-up. Serving as a subject-matter expert during application rollouts, go-live events, and hypercare periods, and providing real-time support and just-in-time training resources. Developing and administering training evaluations to assess effectiveness and learner performance. Analyzing evaluation data and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement; and recommending updates to training content and delivery methods. Developing and tracking training metrics, including completion rates, learner satisfaction scores, and knowledge retention. Coordinating with onboarding lead, change management lead, and Agile Program Management Office on continuous improvement executive reporting. Partnering with application project teams, business process owners, and change management leads to align training strategy with system releases and enhancements. Consulting with the onboarding team to engage with stakeholders and understand user environment, workflows, and training constraints. Participating as a training representative in enterprise application governance groups, working groups, and user communities of practice. Maintaining current knowledge of the enterprise application(s), including system updates, policy changes, and new functionality, to ensure training content accuracy.
