Summary
About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), U.S. Military Academy, West Point. Located in the scenic Hudson River valley, only 50 miles from New York City, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point is a four-year academic institution, a nationally-renowned historic site, and the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. The undergraduates, known as cadets, are commissioned as officers in the US Army upon graduation.Duties
- Use specialized sewing machines to create buttonholes, eyelet, bar tack, over edge, cylinder and chain stitch.
- Occasionally perform other duties such as hand sewing, alterations or repairs.
- Identify completed garments according to size and lot and apply bar coding tickets.
- Prepare for assembly work already cut.
- Operate a standard high-speed industrial sewing machine.
- Work with different types of fabrics and/or clothing materials.
