This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as working leader of 4, employees in accomplishing trades and labor work. The highest level of nonsupervisory work led is Deckhand, XF-5788-06. NOTE: This position is a Permanent, Full-Time Seasonal Appointment.Duties
- Passes on to other workers instructions received from the supervisor.
- Handle heavy cables, equipment and machinery.
- Perform mechanical repairs.
- Observe common marine practices.
- Use tools and equipment associated with deckhand duties.
- Operates crew boat in support of dredging operations.
