Electrician (Open until filled)

Summary

This position is part of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (the Center). The incumbent will be responsible for performing the electrical work and other diversified duties on complex electrical and electronic systems, electrical equipment, alarm systems, and lighting systems.

Duties

• -Estimate project costs and identify appropriate materials, supplies, and equipment. -Ensure timely, safe, and high-quality completion of assigned electrical projects. -Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, modify, and repair a wide range of electrical and electronic systems and components. -Maintain and analyze equipment logs to identify inefficiencies and recommend upgrades or energy-saving improvements. -Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to design or build systems based on performance requirements and long-term facility needs.

Requirements

US Citizenship is required. Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation. Must obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation through Continuous Vetting throughout the duration of employment. All employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting, which authorizes government agencies to receive notifications of criminal activity and financial monitoring on individuals who hold low risk, public trust, or national security positions. Direct Deposit of pay is required. Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt.
