Must-haves

6+ years of experience in a Quality Inspection role
Aerospace electromechanical quality control inspection experience
Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs per ASME Y14.5 and Y14.100
Willingness and ability to train junior inspectors

Nice to have

Experience with mechanical/electrical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, comparators, thread gauges, etc.)
Experience with FAA CFR Part 21 requirements and issuing 8130s and Form 1s
Solid knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements
Understanding of configuration control changes affecting drawings, specs, and procedures
Experience with ERP or MRP systems
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook

About the role

The Senior Inspector performs receiving, in-process, and final inspection on electronic systems; electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. They are responsible for determining whether parts or assemblies are acceptable based on drawing and specification requirements. The position requires accurate & concise communication between production, project management, shipping/receiving, and quality management.

Core Responsibilities

Perform all tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined instruction and/or experience.
Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials, first article parts, in-process materials, and finished goods.
Inspect both work in progress and completed tasks for compliance in accordance with Purchase Order Instructions, Design Drawings & Specifications, Quality Control Plan, Safety, and contractual requirements.
Develop training and train junior individuals on inspection equipment and methods.
Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

6+ years of experience working in a Quality Inspection role.
Experience in aerospace electromechanical quality control inspection.
Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS environment.
Must be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, specifications, etc. per ASME Y 14.5 and ASME Y 14.100 and able to train junior inspectors.
Willing and able to train junior inspectors on how to use various inspection equipment.
Experience using mechanical/electrical inspection/test tools (calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, surface plate, height gauges, comparator, gauge blocks, thread gauges, etc.) a plus.
Experience working with FAA CFR Part 21 requirements, performing and presenting parts for regulatory conformity inspections, and ability to issue 8130’s & Form 1s a plus.
Solid knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements and able to train junior inspector on its completion.
Must have a clear understanding of document types that are impacted by Configuration Control Changes; e.g. Drawings & Specifications, Procedures and Work Instructions.
Previous experience working with an ERP or MRP systems.
Proficient computer skills (MS word, Excel, Outlook).

The starting pay range for this position is $33- $36 per hour however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
