About the role

NYC Alliance Company LLC, a leading multi-channel apparel company, is seeking an experienced and innovative Associate Sweater Designer to join our dynamic private label team. As a vertically integrated organization, NYC Alliance seamlessly connects consumer demand with global supply, leveraging advanced technology and an agile supply chain to deliver trend-driven, high-quality products at speed.

In this role, you will, drive seasonal sweater concepts from inspiration through execution for various private label accounts. You will combine a strong understanding of market trends, customer insights, and technical expertise to create commercially successful collections. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative, collaborative designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about bringing compelling products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Create design concepts, ensuring they align with the company's brand identity and market trends
  • Collaborate closely with the product development and sales teams to translate design concepts into commercially viable products
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitor analysis
  • Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and design presentations
  • Manage the entire design process, from initial concept development to final production
  • Ensure all designs adhere to quality and industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Expert knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • In-depth understanding of current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, composition, and overall design aesthetics
