About the role
Lead Clinical Operations Across a Consulting Practice and Our Own Buildings
EF Senior Care is one of Massachusetts' most trusted consulting partners to senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities. Since 2018 we've served more than 180 communities across the Commonwealth. We're also owners and operators. We run three senior living communities of our own, and everything we recommend to a client is something we've already put to work in our own buildings.
We're looking for a VP of Clinical Operations to lead the clinical side of both.
The work
This role covers all of Massachusetts.
On the consulting side, you'll set clinical direction across our engagements: mock surveys and survey defense, quality and infection prevention programs, clinical turnarounds, receiverships, and interim operations. Some of that work is planned months out. Some of it is a Friday afternoon call about an IJ tag, and you're in the car. Facilities call us when they're already in trouble, priorities shift within the same week, and the job is to bring order to that quickly.
On the owned and managed side, you'll oversee clinical operations across our communities, covering skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living, and rest home settings. You'll partner with administrators and DONs on survey readiness, clinical systems, staffing models, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; BSN or higher preferred
- Deep command of SNF clinical operations, with 10+ years of progressive experience including multi-site or regional leadership (DON, Regional Director of Clinical Services, VP of Clinical Services, or similar)
- Working fluency with the regulatory landscape here: DPH, CMS, EOAI, and how surveys actually unfold in Massachusetts
- Strength in QAPI, MDS and PDPM, infection prevention, clinical risk, and the metrics behind a five-star rating
- Comfort with PointClickCare
- A record of turning around underperforming clinical operations
- Willingness to travel statewide
Salary Range: $170,000 - $180,000 annual salary
Benefits: Full health/medical benefits offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield paid 75% by the company. Matching 401k, and more.
