Summary

About the Position: This position serves as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (EMPA) provider in the capacity of credentials to provide primary medical services to all patients with in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). This position is located in Ft. Stewart, GA at WINN Army Medical Center in the department of Emergency Medicine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

  • Perform initial patient work-up by securing a health and medical history from the patient or family members and records findings.
  • Examine patients and determine the need for and order laboratory tests, X-rays, physician consultation and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
  • Write prescriptions and order the administration of medications in accordance with approved treatment protocols.
  • Make clinical decisions and diagnoses disease, illness or injury and works collaboratively with the physician in providing patient care, management and revision of therapeutic plans.
  • Record entries into patient’s chart including daily progress notes with test results, treatment plans and outcomes.

Education
