QualDerm Partners is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in Cornelius, NC. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Cornelius, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and ensuring operational efficiency within our practice. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
- Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage patient scheduling and office communication effectively.
- Educate patients on treatment options, medications, and appropriate skincare practices.
- Keep examination rooms clean and adequately stocked with supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
