About the role

QualDerm Partners is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in Cornelius, NC. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Cornelius, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and ensuring operational efficiency within our practice. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage patient scheduling and office communication effectively.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, medications, and appropriate skincare practices.
  • Keep examination rooms clean and adequately stocked with supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
