Summary
About the Position: This position is located in the Resource Management Logistics Facility Management Department at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.Duties
- Perform the full range of work involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification and testing of primary and secondary distribution systems requiring knowledge of electrical principles, procedures.
- Plan, lays-outs, install, modify, test, maintain, and repair a variety of fixtures, hardware and equipment including transformers, generators, insulators, breakers, fuses, conductors, switches, cable, conduit, wire, control systems.
- Construct and install rigid and thin wall conduits. Pull in conductors, assemble bus bars, phase out and connect conductors.
- Test, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all parts of distribution system, generating system and controlling equipment including load, transformers, switches, and cable connections.
- Serve as an Operator in Charge, alternating responsibilities with one other High Voltage Electrician.
- Maintain all records and generator engine operating manuals.
