Role Summary

You'll own the procurement strategy for key ingredient and packaging categories, working across operations, quality, and finance to keep costs down and supply chains steady. In this role, you'll develop sourcing strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and build partnerships that support both short-term needs and long-term business growth. You'll be the expert voice in the room on category decisions, bringing data-driven insights and proactive risk management to everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

• You'll develop and implement sourcing strategies for ingredient and packaging categories, conducting spend analysis and market intelligence to identify cost savings and value creation opportunities.

• You'll lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFx management, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms aligned with market conditions.

• You'll establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships, defining and monitoring KPIs around quality, service, cost, and compliance to ensure continuity of supply.

• You'll conduct supplier business reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on innovation, performance, and adherence to food safety and regulatory standards.

• You'll partner with operations, quality, R&D, planning, and finance teams on cross-functional projects including product launches, reformulations, cost optimization, and network changes.

• You'll identify supply risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor commodity markets to proactively adjust sourcing approaches and provide leadership with data-backed recommendations.

• You'll drive standardization and complexity reduction across categories where applicable to improve efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data, market trends, and financial drivers.

• Demonstrated success in complex negotiations and contract management with multiple stakeholders.

• Clear communication and influence skills across all organizational levels, from operations teams to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with ingredients and packaging procurement in a manufacturing environment.

• Background in food, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated manufacturing industries.

• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings while maintaining or improving supply continuity and quality.
