Job Description

Summary

You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

  • You will evaluate the impact that electronically controlled industrial equipment repairs and adjustments will have on related integral devices.
  • You will determine the effects that alterations will have on a total system to verify added equipment will function correctly.
  • You will analyze diagnostic test readings and operating conditions of electronically controlled industrial equipment to isolate system malfunctions.
  • You will use all types of test equipment to measure input and output voltages, amperage, cycles, check continuity and impose various electrical loads.
  • You will be required to utilize computers, laptops, and testing equipment to troubleshoot problems prior to responding to field location where repairs will occur.
  • You will be responsible for performing a combination of construction, maintenance, repair, manufacture, modification, utilities operation, or equipment operation involving diverse skills.
