This intern role is scheduled to start in January of 2027.

PURPOSE:

The HR Co-op will support the Human Resources team in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional HR environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with recruitment activities including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
  • Monthly Audit of Benefit Invoices
  • Bi-weekly point report to Supervisors noting missing warnings
  • File employee files in cabinets and move terminated files to appropriate cabinet
  • Work with Marketing to add HR Content to the café’ monitors.
  • HR Plant Communication Board: Clean-up policies (laminate), post events etc.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Help organize well-being activities, employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics.
  • Provide administrative support for training and development initiatives.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous internship or office experience is a plus but not required.
