Job Description
Summary
You will serve as a PAINTER LEADER (EXPERT) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD & IMF within the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY.Duties
- You will perform abrasive blast on the exterior and interior of ships and submarines above and below ground level from various heights.
- You will perform just-in-time diagnostic and troubleshooting to prevent loss of product.
- You will ensure other workers follow instructions received from supervisors to meet deadlines.
- You will assure safety and housekeeping rules are followed (for example, assuring that limits of safe machine operation are not exceeded and that all tools are used properly).
- You will ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
