Summary
This position is located at Departmental Offices,International Affairs - Office of Technical Assistance. As an Associate Director Budget & Financial Accountability, you will oversee the identification, implementation, and monitoring of international technical assistance projects in the areas of budget and financial accountability.Duties

As an Associate Director Budget & Financial Accountability, you will: Lead an international technical assistance program that strengthens human and institutional capacity in budgeting and financial accountability in developing and transitional countries, including assessing ministries and institutions to determine assistance priorities and evaluate counterpart commitment to use U.S. Treasury technical assistance well. Manage technical assistance program and staff that assist foreign counterparts develop effective public financial management systems. This includes recruiting, mentoring, and directly supervising staff. Provide policy and operational guidance on ongoing and proposed technical assistance projects. Oversee program development including preparation of project proposals and budgets; development of terms of reference, work plans, and logical frameworks; and establishment of program goals and performance measures. Ensure policy officials receive current information, prepare briefing papers and memoranda, and coordinate technical assistance with other U.S. agencies and international organizations to maximize impact.
