Summary

The Justice Buildings Services is responsible for performing functions with respect to the operations, maintenance, repair, preservation, alteration, furnishing, equipment and custody of the Robert F. Kennedy, Main Justice Building (RFK). This position independently works from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance/repair manuals to install, modify, repair, and maintain routine electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures.

Duties

• The duties and responsibilities for a WG-2805-10 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: * Independently works from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals to install, modify, repair, and maintain routine and standard electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. * Utilizes secondary power distribution lines, and circuits to supply a wide range of voltage, amperage, phase, and frequency requirements to distribution panels, power, and control circuits. * Troubleshoots, tests, and loads new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. * Installs, modifies, repairs, loads, and tests systems, circuits, equipment and controls. * Plans and lays out trades work including the routing, placement, type, size, gauge, balance, load, continuity, sand safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment and controls.
