Range Operations Inspector

Summary

About the Position: Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Position may be made permanent without further competition.

Duties

• Serves as the technical expert, exercising real-time command and control over the entire range and training area complex.
• Conducts range walks and performs detailed inspections of training land and facilities to assist units in the preparation of live fire/non-firing training, as required.
• Achieves mission accomplishment through working and coordination with military personnel and civilians.
