Summary

About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist/may be filled from this announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Duties

  • Provide medical services including examination, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Address the biological, social, and environmental influences of the developing patient, with an impact of disease and dysfunction on development.
  • Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents
  • Coordinate and/or integrate care across all elements of the healthcare system (e.g., subspecialty care, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes) and the patient's community (e.g., family, public and private community).
  • Complete required records (both paper and electronic) pertaining to all medical services
  • Provides technical oversight of clinical staff (e.g. nurses, social workers, therapists, and various technicians) assigned to the medical home to enhance team-based care.
