Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive genetic counseling for clients and families with genetic, genomic, epigenetic, pharmacogenetic conditions.
  • Collect comprehensive genetic histories and family histories, construct multi-generational pedigrees, analyze data to support diagnostic evaluations and testing, and collaborate with health care professionals.
  • Provide advisory and clinical support to patients and/or parents/individuals for face-to-face counseling and education.
  • Provide genetic counseling support through participating in multidisciplinary medical activities.
  • Provide input towards new approaches to patient service based on past experience and newly learned techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures related to program implementation.
  • Identify families at risk, interpret information about the disorder, analyze inheritance patterns, and review available options with the family.

Education
