Summary

About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. This position is located in the Dental Directorate at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Duties

  • Perform complete and advanced oral prophylaxis on ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients.
  • Perform deep scaling, root planning, and sub-gingival curettage under local anesthesia.
  • Administer local anesthesia.
  • Expose radiographs including bite wing, periapical, and panoramic x-rays.
  • Interpret routine x-rays to identify tooth structures, calculus, and abnormalities.
  • Examine teeth and surrounding tissue for evidence of plaque and periodontal disease.
  • Maintain patient's record of treatment, recording oral conditions of the teeth and surrounding tissues, progress and therapy notes, etc.
  • Instruct patients at chair-side in oral hygiene, brushing, flossing techniques, and periodontal techniques.

Education
