Summary
About the Position: This position is with the Department Of Public Works located at Joint Base Lewis McChord. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.Duties
- Supervise professional and technical staff and oversee contractor personnel. Plan, assign, and review work. Guide, advise, coach, teach, and empower individuals and teams.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs for conservation and natural resources management, to include wildland fire, endangered species, fish and wildlife, inventory, monitoring, permitting, and compliance activities.
- Provide input to the annual work plan, develop five-year plans, and make adjustments as needed for the Environmental Division. Prepare a variety of documents, to include correspondence, reports, briefing slides, and policy statements.
- Serve as the Chief, Environmental Division. Responsible for installation conservation, natural, and cultural resources management.
