Summary
About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. - Make mental health diagnoses in accordance with the DSM-5-TR criteria or other accepted standards.
- Provides individual and group treatment, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-mental therapy, and psychoeducational classes.
- Maintains appropriate patient care documentation in accordance with prescribed SOPs, guidance, DoD, federal and state regulations as well as professional ethics.
- Collaborates with staff within the department and across the medical treatment facility to ensure the most appropriate patient care is being delivered.
- Performs biopsychosocial evaluations using expert knowledge of clinical psychology.
- Provides expertise in human behavior as a mental health team member and provides consultation to specialty clinic providers regarding psychological treatment options to optimize health outcomes.
