The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight of the cleanup and removal of ammunition, explosives, and other dangerous articles from the UTTR. This includes On Scene Commander, Range Residue Removal Manager, and Special Project Manager responsibilities for operational support within the organization.

Duties

  • Performs the role as On Scene Commander of Recovery (OSCR) for all large footprint weapons requiring flight termination systems on the UTTR.
  • Coordinates and assists in mission planning and execution to establish, revise, or review UTTR policies and procedures relating to recovery operations (weapons effects, target selection, EOD procedures, environmental impacts, etc.).
  • Manages various issues related to munitions on the UTTR IAW DoW, DAF, federal, state and local guidelines, serving as the UTTR Range Residue Manager (Recycle Yard) and coordinating local EOD support.
  • Performs role of Test Program Manager for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of specified customer (external and internal) projects and special programs.
  • Performs contract administration and surveillance for the multi-million-dollar UTTR Range Residue Removal (R3) Contract.
  • Interacts with internal and external officials and/or customers diplomatically, convincingly, professionally, and promote effective working relationships.
  • Prepare reports on time, ensuring they are of high quality to an audience of Air Force senior leaders; including recommendations, meaningful program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis.
