Summary

About the Position : This position is located at Barquist Occupational Health in Frederick, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

  • Serve as a Physician to provide Occupational Medicine services to employees in various occupations.
  • Perform occupational physical examinations of various types including pre-placement, disability retirement, fitness for duty, and any other special employee examinations.
  • Coordinate with facility and community resources to provide comprehensive work-related care to employees.
  • Counsel employees on workplace hazards and exam results.
  • Notify management of exam results and recommends appropriate work restrictions and accommodations.
  • Serve as member of the professional medical staff and provides advisory and consultative services on various meetings.
  • Oversee medical surveillance and medical qualification programs.

Education
