Job Description

YBI Recruiting is hiring a Supervisor on behalf of on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients—an established U.S. company that builds and services specialized equipment used across utilities, telecom, construction, and infrastructure industries. The Supervisor will lead their Shrewsbury, MA auction facility. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic problem-solving and team development, ensuring a safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation while supporting the continued growth and success of the company.. The Supervisor assists the team in ensuring buyers and sellers of utility and construction equipment are provided a knowledgeable, trusted, and seamless auction experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the team at the Shrewsbury, MA site, including staffing and approvals.
  • Communicate and consistently enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching, regular feedback, and annual performance reviews.
  • Facilitate disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Ensure associates receive the training and support needed for success.
  • Review and confirm associate time records and attendance.
  • Manage wash bay operations.
  • Oversee state-required safety and emissions testing activities.
  • Support quality standards and customer delivery schedules.
  • Schedule work assignments, production activities, and overtime as needed.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers to support operational success.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and delivery performance records.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to support facility needs.
  • Monitor facility assets and equipment and recommend repairs when necessary.
  • Improve safety performance through proactive leadership and accountability.
  • Plan and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment through 5S principles.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand equipment operations desired
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently
  • Experience working in operations, manufacturing, equipment, transportation, or related industries preferred
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and business systems
  • Ability to build productive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
