Job Description

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.

We are seeking experienced Construction Managers to support the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Bond Program. These positions will oversee capital improvement projects from planning through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with District standards.

Candidates will be considered for either the OAR I or OAR II level based on their qualifications and experience.

What You'll Do

  • Manage construction projects through pre-construction, bidding, construction, and project closeout.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, District staff, and public agencies.
  • Review plans, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall progress while providing regular status updates.
  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs/RFCs, substitution requests, and change order proposals.
  • Negotiate change orders and evaluate cost and schedule impacts.
  • Administer professional service agreements and monitor consultant performance.
  • Review contractor payment applications and project financial status.
  • Coordinate the delivery of District-furnished fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
  • Oversee project closeout, including DSA certification and financial closeout.
  • Perform other project management duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should possess a combination of education and progressively responsible experience in commercial, public-sector, or educational facility construction management.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, including owners, designers, contractors, and public agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and change management.
  • Experience with projects valued at more than $20 million is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public agency or K-12 educational facility construction experience
  • Design-Build project experience
  • Division of the State Architect (DSA) project experience
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • LEED and/or CHPS project experience
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • California Architect or Professional Engineer license
  • CCM certification
