Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. The Physician serves in the National Hansen's Disease Program (NHDP), providing specialized clinical care, coordinating nationwide outpatient services, and advancing education, rehabilitation, and research to improve the detection, treatment, prevention, and long-term outcomes of Hansen's disease throughout the U.S. and its territories.

Duties

  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Physician, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Serving as a staff clinician providing care to patients with Hansen's disease and other complex conditions while supporting clinic operations. Developing diagnostic and treatment programs for patients with physical and mental health conditions under your care. Serving as a research liaison with internal and external partners and collaborate on publications in peer-reviewed journals. Providing instruction and training to medical students, interns, residents, and physicians in short- and long-term training.

Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
