Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Occupational Medicine Staff Officer in the area of occupational medicine. Coordinates the Occupational Health Command Inspection Program, Staff Assistance Visits, and other activities supporting regional installations.Duties
- Provides staff liaison with Headquarters, staff elements, supported installations in Medical Readiness Command, East (MRC, E), and, as needed, with Federal, state, and local government activities. Interprets applicable regulations and directives.
- Ensures comprehensive standing operating procedures and medical directives for all elements of the Occupational Health Program (OHP) are written and updated as changes occur.
- Reviews policies and procedures on an annual basis to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission (JC), Army, DoD, and other applicable regulations.
- Conducts analysis of data, metrics, and outcomes to identify resource and training gaps.
- Coordinates MRC, E programs with Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG)/Medical Command (MEDCOM) programs to most effectively organize and prioritize programs to support Occupational Health (OH) care delivery in the MRC, E area of responsibility (AOR).
