WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR

Duties

• You will monitor and control the water treatment process that include, chemical addition, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, chlorination, filtration, pH control, and fluoridation.
• You will analyze present and anticipated raw water quality, evaluate test results, and change chemical feed rates, filtration rates, and other parameters to keep operations within established limits.
• You will maintain water system storage capacity by monitoring water tank elevations, and coordinating filtration rates.
• You will control the operation of the raw water pumps when required to match plant operations to meet the treatment demand.
