Summary
This position is located at the Blackfeet Service Unit, Division of Administrative Services, Branch of Health Information Management. This positions functions as the trainer of clinical staff for the entire range of application packages relating to the Indian Health Service Electronic Health Record (EHR). A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Duties
- Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Health System Specialist Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Primary responsibility will be the implementation and maintenance of the facility's Electronic Health Record (EHR) for outpatient services Sets up EHR files, parameters, menus and clinical references for users; troubleshoots complex program irregularities and determines appropriate action for correction Function as an application manager in the planning, development, setup and implementation of all aspects the Indian Health Service Resource and Patient Management System EHR. Principle resource person to clinical service program managers and other management officials in resolving difficult and highly complex problems, which may be confined to a single service or may extend across organizational services lines Serve as trainer to clinical staff to ensure range of application packages including EHR, Health Summary, Progress notes, etc.

Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment. Education
This position has an education requirement.
