Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Lee, Virginia in a local medical treatment facility (MTF) and performs professional work in the field of General Pediatrics. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

  • Provide appropriate examinations, diagnostic and/or treatment services for patients in ages ranging from infant through adolescent, who have pediatric and medical problems characteristic of the pediatric discipline.
  • Write progress notes, including history, physical, laboratory data, assessment and plan on individual outpatients.
  • Exercise privileges when admitting and performing follow-up to selected patients.
  • Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, peer review, and similar professional medical activities in conjunction with accreditation and other standards required of medical facilities.
  • Participate in in-service training and informal training and teaching of military, Department of the Army Civilian and contract nurse clinicians, physician's assistants, nurses, and medical assistants.

Education
