Summary
About the Position: Serve as an Physician (Family Medicine) at the Army Health Clinic Ireland on Fort Knox KY for the Defense Health Agency (DHA). A Monday through Friday outpatient clinic providing outpatient care to beneficiaries. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. - Serve as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader providing comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions.
- Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.
- Facilitates and manages full spectrum of professional and patient care activities for the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain and update skills and knowledge in accordance with AFMS, MTF, and unit policies including department in-services education.
- Responds to assigned MTF in real-world disaster to deliver primary care in an emergent local situation.
