Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support direct hire authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Duties
- You will work in a team environment for the Ordnance Test and Evaluation Division to perform nondestructive testing, equipment and facility maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.
- You will lead radiographic operations, (i.e., x-ray ordnance and energetic items, analyzing imaging data, and ensuring compliance w/safety protocols.)
- You will collaborate with engineers and scientists, providing technical guidance, and maintaining radiographic equipment.
- You will support a variety of tests/inspection, physical dimensioning, x-ray equipment maintenance, ordnance handling, ordnance hauling, and the use of heavy equipment and cranes.
- You will be responsible for interpreting x-ray images and documenting the results.
Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided the education demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: GS-7 - Successfully completed two full years of graduate level education or master's degree that is directly related to the position being filled GS-9 - Successfully completed one full years of graduate level education or master's degree that is directly related to the position being filled One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
