Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

• Determine procedures in the assigned areas for tests to be performed.
• Direct and perform routine and complex tests and studies in core clinical laboratory.
• Develop and recommend quality control procedures for equipment, reagents, and products.
• Maintain, calibrate or standardize instruments.
• Modify standard techniques to improve or expand accuracy, precision, specificity, and proficiency.
• Oversee daily learning activities of trainees.
• Provide technical direction to assigned subordinates and hospital staff.

Education
