THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number PD D1259000/D1255000 and is part of the WY Combined Support Maintenance Shop, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
Duties
- The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance production management, to achieve or maintain desired production levels, to serve as an equipment readiness expert for units supported by the facility, and to provide technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller. (1) Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, and small arms. (2) Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line-Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports, and system management. (3) Programs workload, shop space, and available personnel on a short and long-term basis. (4) Ensures that unit Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness. (5) Designates and maintains current maintenance priorities by Force Activity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC) A, B, and C equipment type, available funds, commander's priority, state/national priorities (in the case of floods, fires, and mobilizations), and unit supported. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to all United States military branches. Military members: Submit STP, vMPF rip, DVR, ERS, MBS, PDR or equivalent with resume. May take up to 120 days. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a T3/SECRET security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. PCS costs are not authorized in lieu of incentives. Will be required to relocate at own expense. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives. Position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 2. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. 3. Duties and responsibilities of job may significantly impact the environment. Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.
Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: *** College transcripts must be submitted when substituting education for experience. Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
