Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado in the Department of Radiology. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

  • Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations and/or procedures.
  • Provide training on diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging to a variety of hospital personnel.
  • Evaluate pediatric, neonatal and fetal anatomy, including fetal heart.
  • Establish and review operating instructions for ultrasound procedures in accordance with the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM).
  • Perform quality control checks of ultrasound machines; recognizing and reporting malfunctions.
  • Coordinate with physicians to improve access to care and patient flow.
  • Provide training on diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging to hospital personnel to ensure quality patient care.

Education
