Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. This physician will be responsible for evaluating pain patients in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. Further, this physician will perform various interventional pain procedures including (epidurals, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, sympathetic blocks, neurolytic blocks, spinal cord stimulator therapy, intrathecal pump therapy, etc.) Further, this position will also include management of acute/ inpatient/ cancer pain including consultation and regional anesthesia techniques. There is also a possibility that this physician will provide general anesthesia services on an as needed basis. The practitioner will provide outpatient and inpatient pain services at the Atlanta VA Health System. Other duties of the practitioner will be the screening of pain consultation and possibility of general anesthesia services in an as needed basis.Expected participation in clinical teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other providers.
